  • live yeast

    logo_gmpLive yeast

A well-functioning rumen is the prerequisite for a healthy high-performing dairy cow. Ruminal microorganisms are anaerobic. Simply put: The more active ruminal microorganisms, the better the feed conversion . Thus, every feeding programm should be aimed at establishing an optimum ruminal environment for bacteria. jbs yeast increases the ruminal microbial population enabling the cow to effectively use the nutrients and increase the feed intake.

For legal reasons, our Complimentary Feeding Stuffs jbs yeast 5/10 and jbs yeast 5/10 + biotin will be discontinued by the end of this year. According to EU directive 767/2009, the concentration of feed additives in Complimentary Feeeding Stuff has been limited. The present composition may no longer be used until the maximum amount limitation for live yeast stated in the EU directive is abolished.

Therefore, we are changing over to a new composition -  mycotoxin binding agent optional.
Damages caused by mycotoxins in feed are manyfold and the cause frequently remains unknown. Livestock owners note that the performance is down and the animal's health status leaves a lot to be desired. As mycotoxins can't be seen and they occur in several places resp. quite irregularly within single feed sections, prophylactic feeding of a mycotoxin binding agent is the only possibility to protect animals in time from damages to organs and immume system.

    • increases fat and protein contents
    • higher milk yield
    • increases ruminal production of vitamins and biotin
    • stabilizes the rumen, especially under stress
    • reduces the risk of acidosis
    • less feed leftovers in faeces

  • Silage additives

    Silage additives

Only high-quality silages can gain efficiency at reasonable prices. In line with this, you should consider not only  NEL-value (net energy of lactation) or quantity of silage; it is crucial that factors such as nutrient quality (carotenoids, vitamins, amino acids, carbohydrates), palatability, digestibility and storability fit in as well.

As global leader in manufacturing lactic acid bacteria, Chr. Hansen  offers various silage inoculants that have a positive effect on the above-mentioned parameters.

Main focus during the selection of lactic acid bacterial strains is put on the capacity to inhibit yeasts in a homofermentative way (i. e.: without increasing the content of acetic acid) in order to improve palatability and digestibility as well as the stability after opening.

Based on this dual mechanism of action, these products are suitable for many different types of forages and conditions.
