 joachim behrens scheessel gmbh, is a family-owned company in the third generation, which was founded by Joachim Behrens senior in 1928.
The opening of the market between Elbe and Weser was ventured by bike and motorbike. Main focus was on chemical and technical products for agricultural purposes.

The change of the corporate form into a limited liability partnership in 1989 set the course for the future: telemarketing, increased foreign business and nationwide dispatch by forwarding agents. Presently approximately 150 employees work for jbs.

jbs agricultural plastics
When it comes to binding twine, our company can look back on more than 80 years of experience. Joachim Behrens senior was one of the first to launch sisal-twine for the new reaping-and binding machines at that time.
Today, this assortment includes twine, bale wrap net, silage wrap and cover plastics as well as protective nets, sandbags and repair tape. Exterior and silo paints complete the assortment.
jbs dairy specialities
"Dairy specialties" is, with its 25 years, our youngest department. This area requirs a substantial amount of explanatory support. Silage and farm-made feed are getting more and more important to dairy farmers. Aim of "dairy specialties" is to uncover and activate the slumbering reserves in performance in this field. Key products to achieve this are living lactic acid bacteria strains for silage and living yeast cultures for the rumen of the cow.

Products for animal hygiene, udder care and hoof care complete our assortment for the dairy farmer.
Textiles and protection
This department has evolved from the farmers´ demands and has grown considerably. Nowadays it has expanded its customer base, unlike the other departments, additionally to craft and industry which are its main pillars.
Alongside craft- and workwear, we also offer complete company outfits which have become a strong factor of growth.
