jbsallg_joachimundsohn joachim behrens scheessel gmbh - today in the third generation - was founded as a private company by Joachim Behrens senior in 1928.

The business was started by selling chemical and technical products to farmers between Elbe and Weser. In the beginning, this market was developped by bike and motorbike.

1989 brought the change of the corporate form into a limited liability partnership, thus setting the course for the future: telemarketing, a growing foreign business and nationwide dispatch by forwarding agents. Presently approximately 150 employees work for jbs.

The company focusses on four key areas:

jbs agricultural plastics

Binding twine was one of the first products our company offered - thus, we can draw upon more than 80 years of experience. Joachim Behrens senior was one of the first to introduce sisal-twine for the reaper-binders, which were new at that time.

Today, this assortment includes twine, round bale net wrap, silage wrap, silage film as well as silage protection nets, sandbags and repair tape. Exterior and silo finish complete this assortment.

jbs dairy specialities

"Dairy specialties" is our youngest department, even though we have been selling silage additives for more than 20 years. These products require a substantial amount of explanatory support. Silage and farm-made feed are getting more and more important for dairy farmers. "Dairy specialties" aims to activate dormant resources. Key products to achieve this are living lactic acid bacteria strains for silages and live yeast cultures for the dairy cow's rumen.

jbs animal health

Products for animal hygiene, udder care and hoof care complete our assortment for the dairy farmer.

Workwear and protective clothing

This department has evolved from farmers´ demands and has - unlike the rest of the company - now a strong foothold in craft and industry. Along with craft- and workwear, corporate wear is a big growth driver.

Of course we have also continously adjusted administration, logistics and distribution to our growing needs.
