 Desco-Vet film dip contains the biocidal agent Polyhexanid. Polyhexanid is a broad-spectrum agent (among others effective against Staph. aureus incl. multiresistant variants, Strept. agalactiae, Strept. dysgalactiae, Strept. uberis, E.Coli) and is exceptionally skin-friendly. The agent is not absorbed by the body, but rather attaches tightly to microbial cell walls, resulting in lasting damage and elimination of bacteria, even at low concentrations.
Desco-Vet film dip with Polyhexanid is especially suitable for long-term application due to its excellent skin-friendliness.
Desco-Vet film dip is a ready-made teat dip, which forms a resilient, conspicuous and elastic protective film on teats. Loss of moisture and consequently drying out of teat skin will thus be prevented. Heightened bacterial colonization of teats is prevented, even under difficult environmental and agricultural stable conditions.
Additionally four skin conditioning ingredients provide an excellent care of teat skin during remarkable stress.
Desco-Vet 4 fold skincare complex
1. Lanolin:
- moisturizing
- rough and cracked teat skin becomes visibly smoother within an hour after application and significantly decreases bacterial colonization of the teat.
2. Allantoin:
- supports regeneration of the teat skin
- acts among other things against keratinisation (Hyperkeratosis)
- teats stay smooth and soft
- soothes strained teats
3. Panthenol:
- accelerates skin-barrier repair
- supports regeneration as well as natural defense mechanism ot the teat skin
- improves elasticity of the skin

4. Hamamelis:
- stabilizes the barrier function of the skin
- antioxidants prevent cell damage and ageing processes
- accelerates teat canal closure and thus protects the udder against microorganisms
- stimulates regeneration and renewal of the skin
Active ingredients:
100 g Desco-Vet contains 0,3 g Polyhexanid. Desco-Vet is registered as a biocide according to EU-directive 98/8 EWG : baua Reg. No. N- 31079.
