jbs lactic acid teat dip Print E-mail
  • reduces germs
  • save up to 75 % by foaming
  • may also be dipped or sprayed

Triple protection for healthy udders:

1. Lactic acid for skin conditioning

- dissolves keratin, gently removes dead skin cells
- regenerates the cells and improves the skin's elasticity
- maintains the skin´s natural acid mantle, thus complicating the skin's colonization with germs
- the teat´s skin gets much softer. Smooth teats are easier to clean.
- lactic acid is registered as a biocide

2. Chlorhexidin against germs

- microbicidal effect - disinfectant
- broad spectrum of activity
- is not absorbed by the body (not systemic)
- does not irritate the skin

3. Skin care ingredients

- Allantoin, glycerin und lanolin for rapid regeneration
- protect the skin against dehydration
- they make the skin soft and smooth

Effects and application

jbs lactic acid teat dip is a ready-made emulsion and should be applied to the dry teats after each milking. The high lactic acid content combined with the skin care ingredients provides an effective, pH-balanced skincare-complex which supports the regeneration and self-healing processes of the skin (cuts and small wounds). jbs lactic acid teat dip facilitates the cleaning of the teats and makes the skin smoother and softer. Due to its very low viscosity, jbs lactic acid teat dip may be sprayed, dipped or foamed.

jbs lactic acid teat dip is particularly suited for foaming. It builds a solid foam which totally covers the teat. The foam is clearly visible, hardly drips and is absorbed by the skin. By using foam you also reduce the risk of losing teat dip when accidentally knocking over a dip cup.

Foaming considerably reduces the volume of teat dip you have to use:

Consumption dipping: approx. 2,5 l per cow/year
Consumption foaming: approx. 0,65 l per cow/year

(Consumption: Dipping foaming of the whole teat with a thin dip)

jbs lactic acid teat dip is colourless - thus, problems with stains and discolourings of skin, clothes or stable are avoided.
